Saxophonist, singer, songwriter, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Rodrigo Sha is what we call a complete artist. With a 25-year career and thousands of kilometers covered, the artist transmits his energy to the public through music, whether on stage or with studio productions.

 

Over these 25 years in the professional music market, Rodrigo Sha won several music awards:

– Theme Music Award, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of Christ the Redeemer

– Best Electronic Album, at the Brazilian Music Award in 2014

– Best instrumentalist of the electronic scene by DjSound magazine for two years in a row, 2014 and 2015.

He is one of the founders of Marketplace www.oritmo.com , the home of Brazilian music in the world, with a library of more than 1000 samples of Brazilian sounds and rhythms. 

 

Rodrigo has already released thirteen solo albums, several singles and EP's and toured the world with the band “BossaCucaNova”, later with “Bebel Gilberto”, and made great recordings with an interpreter and featuring with artists such as Roberto Menescal, Leo Jaime, Ritchie, Blitz, Gilberto Gil, Lenine, Elza Soares, Ney Matogrosso, Kid Abelha, Seu Jorge, Daniel Gonzaga, Dj Mario Fischetti, Dj Meme, Dj Mam , Dj Pippi, Kenneth Bager, Islandman, dj Marcelinho Da Lua,_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_ among others.

 

Communicator and music curator, in 2018 the artist received the invitation to have his own radio show: “HORA DO SHA”, on 94,fm.

 

In 2019, he released his first international project, “Copenema”, on the label “Music for dreams”. The idea started when the artist met the Dane Kenneth Bager in Brazil and continued in Copenhagen.
 

In 2020, he released his first live DVD recorded at Sala Cecília Meireles, with Orchestra, featuring Daniel Gonzaga and Marcela Mangabeira.

 

Among the singles are his partnership with Blitz, the classics “Você Não Soube me Amar” and “Weekend”, where he signs the musical production and plays his unmistakable sax. In 2021, he released the album Jazz Botânico with Dj Mam, an international critical success.

 

In 2022, Sha also released two important singles: Point of Love, in partnership with DJ Gui DeFilippe, marking the launch of the Point Aéreo  label and "The Ship of Love", a track in which he signs the authorship and interpretation on the side, with the participation of Charlotte Caluwaerts (voice) and the magical violin of Reinhard Vanbergen. The Ship of Love marks yet another international release with Danish label Music for Dreams. Also in 2022 he participates as author and performer on the international album “Follow your dreams” by Dj Pippi and Willie Graff, on the tracks Jaleo and Mudo.

From the partnership with Music for Dreams in March 2022, the album Sha plays Getz / Pessoa sings Gilberto is also born, in which Sha and the musician Maurício Pessoa are recognized for presenting to the world their homage and reverence to the iconic album Getz/Gilberto, a masterpiece of Brazilian music.

Still 2022, he released another album, a beautiful partnership with Ricardo Imperatore, the project “Shimp-Z”, the EP Live Your Life with his project Point Aéreo, and Sha is once again a confirmed attraction at the biggest music festival in the world, Rock in Rio sealing its long-standing partnership with the festival and corroborating its importance for the Brazilian music scene.

In October 2022 Rodrigo Sha launched the Brazilian Lullabies project in partnership with Platoon and Apple Music.

In 2023 Rodrigo Sha has more releases, starting with the single “Dialeto” on April 28th.
